西北维斯塔学院 recognizes that students struggling economically or with mental health issues may find college overwhelming at times. We know that stress can impact academic performance. Any student experiencing challenges is encouraged to reach out to the NVC 学生权益和资源中心.  The Advocacy Center provides 学生紧急援助, 帮助满足基本需求, and individual and group mental health counseling at no cost to students.

24-hour emergency help is also available through the National Suicide & 危机热线(拨988)或浏览 http://988lifeline.org/ 

24/7 Crisis Textline is also available by texting "HOME" to 741741.

NVC 学生宣传 is proud to offer the ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) program. 

LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. 

Registration must be completed via online registration form. Please check back to this website for updates, announcements, and upcoming training sessions. The registration link will be made available here when a training session is scheduled to be offered.
